“Marissa, Denver’s pregnant!”
Oh great. Everyone on this floor probably heard my Pop.
I finally managed to get Wayne moving but we were suddenly swamped by Pop, my aunt, and a couple of my cousins who overheard her.
I sighed, my icy heart started to melt as my family began congratulating me.
Damn but our kid was going to be spoiled rotten.

Hearing Flynn crying, I groaned and opened my eyes. Denver continued snoring loudly next to me. As usual, he hogged the entire space and flung his legs and arms over me. Naturally, I didn’t mind one bit.
I squinted at the windows. The sun wasn’t even up yet.
What time was it?
Ever since Denver gave birth to Flynn a month ago, we haven’t been able to have a good night’s sleep.
Male Omega pregnancies only lasted three months but they were the most wonderful three months of my life.
Denver had even agreed to take some time off work and I loved fussing over my Omega. It was fun, getting our apartment ready for our baby.
We painted the walls of Flynn’s room, selected new furniture together and baby-proofed the apartment. I even installed a new security system.
Denver complained I was going too far but the safety and security of my family was my number priority.
I carefully untangled myself from Denver. I slipped out of bed and lifted my baby boy from the cot. Flynn had inherited Denver’s vivid blue eyes and my dark brown hair. He was was perfect in every way.
Well, at this moment, Flynn didn’t have much hair.
To my shock, Flynn stopped crying instantly. I cooed at him. He giggled. Unbelievable warmth spread through my entire body.
Some days, I still couldn’t believe Denver and I made this little treasure together. I kissed Flynn on the nose. That only delighted him further.
I remembered how Denver had fretted and worried when Gideon was giving birth.
Silly Omega. I knew without a doubt that Denver would make an excellent dad. It was true Denver could be stubborn and a little selfish at times but he had a big heart.
“Let’s head outside,” I whispered to Flynn, not wanting to wake Denver.
My Omega could use the downtime.
I exited the room, setting Flynn against my shoulder. I walked out into the living area. It was eerily quiet in our apartment. It was odd seeing as Flynn sometimes cried non-stop.
He was a colic baby but it didn’t matter. We loved him all the same. Sooner or later, Flynn would snap out of that phase.
I wasn’t aware of sitting on the sofa. Flynn felt like a warm bundle against my chest. Watching his droopy little eyes, I sang him a song.
“Twinkle, twinkle little stars…”
Flynn was fast asleep in seconds. Like this, my baby looked like a perfect little angel.
“Baby, you’re already awake?” Asked Denver.
He appeared in my line of sight, only wearing boxers. Denver sounded and still looked sleepy.
“Go bad to bed,” I said in a quiet voice so as not to wake Flynn. “I have this.”
“I know you do.” Denver walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek. He studied Flynn. “Wow, how did you convince him to go back to sleep so fast?”
“Hush, keep your voice down.” I continued, “It’s a secret.”
Denver sat next to me and rested his shoulder on my head. “We’re in luck today.”
“How’s that?”
I could stay like this forever, with my best friend and mate sitting next to me while our kid fell snoozed against my chest.
We’d have plenty of mornings like this, I mused. It was hard to imagine that just six months ago, I was mad at Denver for dragging me to Ken and Carl’s wedding.
I wasn’t too surprised when Denver mentioned the couple divorced a month ago. Even at their wedding, they didn’t look too happy.
Gideon and Garth meanwhile, were handling parenthood the same as us—we were navigating through untested waters. There was a lot of trial and error involved.
Gideon and Denver were already scheduling future play dates for Flynn and Jenny.
“My Pop texted. He said he could babysit Flynn for today,” Denver said.
My Omega looked more awake now as he flashed me a sexy smile that woke up my dick instantly. We were too tired at the end of the day to have sex lately but it appeared I was in luck today.
Don’t get me wrong. I loved our son and would give my life for him and Denver without a second’s hesitation but we sure could use a break now and then.
“Nice.”
“So Gideon was telling me the other day,” Denver began, running his fingers up my arm.
“Hmm?”
“That they were thinking of having a second kid.”
I raised my eyebrows. Our living room, which used to be pristine and neat six months ago was now messy with toys and clothes.
I envisioned having a second kid, or a third and smiled. Our apartment would be chaotic. Denver and I wouldn’t be able to get another wink of sleep any time soon but I figured it was going to be worth it.
“Do you want more kids?” Denver asked, sounding tentative.
Denver liked to complain that kids were a lot of work but I knew he loved being a dad as much as I did.
I kissed him on the mouth. “We’ll need to get a bigger place. Your Pop would be so happy.”
“My Pop. I forgot about him.” Denver rolled his eyes. “Don’t mention our plan to Pop, ye. Promise?”
“I will.” I’d keep my word but I didn’t remind Denver that if his Pop put his mind to it, Cal could easily wring answers out of anyone. I looked at my Omega in the eyes. “I love you, you know that?”
I never got sick of telling Denver those three special words or hearing him say them back.
Denver planted another kiss on my mouth. I couldn’t wait to have him all to myself. I planned to keep him in bed all day, fuck him senseless and put another baby in him.
“I love you back,” he told me.

I always had trouble holding onto an Omega. Losing both my job and my boyfriend at the same time dragged my confidence at an all-time low.

When my mother convinced me to go on a blind date, I reluctantly agreed, only to have the best night of my life.

Dusty might be five years my senior but I knew right away that this Omega was made to be mine. Dusty was funny and adorable. He also took himself way too seriously sometimes.

He wanted to settle down and have kids.

Dusty was convinced we shouldn’t be together because we didn’t want the same things. I might be younger than he was but one look, one kiss and I was hooked. I wasn’t just Dusty’s Alpha. I also had every intention of being his mate and baby daddy.
